Words are made up of sounds. Rhyming words are words that end with the same sound.
For example, our dog friend came in last because he was not fast. Last and fast rhyme because they both end with the ast sound.

This activity introduces children to simple rhymes. Can you spot which words have the same ending? Those are rhyming words! Draw lines to connect the rhyming words. Can you think of any other words that rhyme? This activity has also been designed for handwriting practice.
Common Core Alignment:
Recognize and produce rhyming words.
The words fish and wish rhyme. They both end with the ish sound.
The words kiss and miss rhyme. They both end with the iss sound.
The words wish and fast do not rhyme. They end with different sounds.
