This activity introduces children to simple rhymes in the context of a short sentence. Complete the sentence by choosing the word that rhymes with the word in bold. This activity has also been designed for handwriting practice.

Recognize and produce rhyming words.
The words snake and cake rhyme. They both
end with -ake.
The words red and bed rhyme. They both end with -ed.
The words snake and red do not rhyme. They end with different sounds.
