OVERVIEW

The first word in a sentence must start with an uppercase letter. Uppercase letters are also called capital letters.

The alphabet chart reintroduces children to the upper-case letters. Repetition is a key learning aid. Say the alphabet together. Can you write out all the uppercase alphabet letters?

The Uppercase: first letter activity asks children to begin sentences with an uppercase letter. Read the sentences together. This activity has also been designed for handwriting practice.
